Aprilia MXV450 news
The november issue of the free Motocrossdigital magazine ( download it at http://www.motocrossdigital.com ) has a feature about this seasons factory mx bikes including the Aprilia MXV. Very interesting read and I advise you to download the magazine and read it for yourself. Some interesting news. The bike has 10% more power than its japanese counterparts,it currently has a honda swingwarm,it weighs 108kg's. The new big bang configuration seems to be very succesful. The reporter found Chiodi's bike the most powerful bike he has ever ridden but it's too heavy in the front. The report says that the production bike will be there at the end 2008/beginning 2009. For 2008 their will be a lot of changes including changes to the engine block, frame and reducing of overall weight. Also the old style swingarm is coming back. In short a complete overhaul of the MXV.Also Aprilia has been working on a 250 MX bike for a year now. No details about that one yet. But it's real.

Carlson wins AMA Supermoto Unlimited championship
Due to Atkins’ broken left arm, flat track expert Henry Wiles and French Supermoto pro Kevin Bethome were brought as replacement riders to earn points for the teams’ championship. Henry Wiles rode to an amazing 6th place in Saturdays final, and Kevin Bethome did the same putting the team on the box in 4th place beside Ben Carlson in 2nd during Sunday’s final event. This gave the team enough points to win the team championship over factory KTM by 1 point.
2007 AMA Supermoto Unlimited Champion – Ben Carlson
2007 AMA Supermoto Unlimited Team Champion – Factory Aprilia Rip It Energy Fuel
2007 AMA Supermoto Unlimited – 6th place Darryl Atkins (had runner up position prior to injury and not competing in final 3 rounds)
“It was an almost perfect season for the team, apart from my little mishap. We are really happy that Benny won the riders championship, and that we were able to choose the right guys (Kevin Bethome and Henry Wiles) to capture the points needed to win the teams championship along side Benny.
All this would not have been possible without everyone’s support, and we are really grateful for their efforts. I have to especially thank Aprilia USA, Rip It Energy Fuel, Parts Unlimited, and Bel Ray Oils. Amauri Nunes, Todd and Georgiann Carlson, John Weiss and Robert Pandya all played a key part in the teams success this season.”

Leovince's for the Shiver
The LeoVince SBK Factory cans, EVO II type-approved, feature a winning blend of impeccable cost-effective performance levels, and high-tech content. They can be fitted to the original system by means of special stainless steel manifolds. The silencer is completely constructed of titanium with a choice of either titanium or carbon fibre outer skin. The rear sump and the frame fixture strips are also made of carbon fibre.
The GP-style Evo II type-approved cans offer the same performance levels but they are characterized by launcher-shaped (“a tromboncino”) styling, directly inspired by the current MotoGP style (in which LeoVince has always been present in the capacity of technical sponsor) giving a modern racing look. The silencer and the manifold connection pipe are made of TIG-welded stainless steel with a sandblasted finish. Frame fixture is by means of a carbon fibre bracket.
